I’ve picked up this book today in a damp box in my shed. I must have read it fifteen years ago or so. Today’s 30 pages remind me of how readable, warm and life affirming the bedraggled hero is in this book.
It’s a work of a young man and the energy pops out at you in the pages. Gives a great insight into the difficulties the homeless encounter. Recommended.

I found this gem in an airport bookstore of all places. R. Bogle is a clever narrative that takes you on a biographical journey exploring the life of London’s finest tramp. It is a masterpiece. It explores many of the simple joys in life and many of the complex tragedies that lead us to what we are. Much of what it does is to point out the absurdities that plague our lifes. Overall very witty and intelligent.
This book shouldn’t be read in public places because some of the humor is sudden and intense. My ginger ale came out my nose while I was on the plane.
