The Finkler Question won the 2010 Booker Prize and we had considered reading it here at the book club. I read it in Cuba and I loved two thirds of it. It is an interesting topic and witty, fun… But it went on for too long, the same stuff on and on, never materializing into anything. The end was a huge disappointment, very weak, very anti-climactic, very untidy. While I was reading the first half of the book, I was looking forward to recommending it to everyone, but unfortunately, as it is, I can no longer recommend it. I hate it when authors have a really cool idea but don’t know how to wrap it all up in the end.
