“Hello, my name is Yeşim. We have read many fascinating books in the book club. The last one was Philip Roth’s ‘American Pastoral’. I liked it very much. It is a bit challenging to read but explores America’s development, social development, over a period of time, especially during the Vietnam War. The period is chronicled through the eyes of different classes and emigrants and depicted around the story of a family. I enjoyed the plot, character commentary and psychological analyses tremendously. Highly recommended. It is longish but absolutely enjoyable.”
