“Hello, I am Emel. Last book I read is a novel called ‘Borrowed Time’ by Defne Suman. Defne is a new author. Her second book is recently published. The novel is written in Turkish. It takes place in Turkey over a very interesting period in İzmir, at the end of the Turkish Independence War. It is a novel depicting the destruction of the very diverse cultures of İzmir at the end of the Independence War and portrays the pain and suffering people had experienced during this process. I highly recommend this novel.”
